Monday Monday Monday!

I just do not like Mondays! I usually do not sleep well Sunday night so I am wasted on Monday morning. On my way to the pool, there were tons of trash bins that were bowled over. Another usual event! Some drunk people find it amusing to do that on their way home. People should not take their trash out anyways, some people leave their bins out all the time! It is very annoying!
My body is a bit sore today, I could not run much last week due to the rain. So the swim was a bit unpleasant but there were not many people surprisingly. At 4.2 kms, there was in the air this horrible smell, a burning smell. I could barely breath. During the summer, there are a lot of bush fires in Brisbane and its surroundings. People do not seem affected by the smell but it is KILLING me. I finally understand the pain of a person who is allergic! I cannot breath and worse of all, I seem to be the only one suffering from this horrible smell.
Yesterday, my neighbor showed me his place when I was about to go to Indooroopilly shopping center. I liked his place, very clean and ordered like mine. He is renovating his kitchen. He told me he bought his place for 357k. I thought it would be worth more. If I had a regular job, I can probably afford to buy my place now. He likes to play chess, maybe I’ll ask him to play a game sometimes. I probably need to play a few on yahoo.games first.

Hair color

People often ask me nowadays whether I use some dye to color my hair. This picture best illustrates why they ask such question. They do turn copper-like shade because of the chlorinated water in the pool and the Australian sun.

Finally, my photos and web directory are backed up. Monday morning, I will bring the USB drive to the lab and make a third copy and also put them onto DVDs. I know I am being too cautious but I know by experience that accidents always occur at the least expected moment and usually all events converge to the same ultimate goal, the destruction of my data. All my data exist in multiple physical locations. That is how I keep all my pictures from many sources all these years.
Have you made a backup of all your data files? If not you should do it RIGHT now!

Saturday swimming!

As usual unexpected! Very nice swim today and, lucky, I had a triathlete next to my lane. At the beginning, I thought that he was too fast for me, but after few laps, I got back to his level. I hope the pleasure was reciprocal! The new vacuum cleaner is very powerful. My eyes are no longer red, I think I badly hurt them last weekend when I took off the lenses after the long run. My eyes were really dry and the lenses got stuck to the surface of the eyes. I should have waited a bit after adding few wetting drops for contacts before taking them off. No news from the cactus mix planted last week. I keep on watering the pot.
Everyday at 5:25 am, I take this road to go to the pool. It is very quiet and at the end of the road, I have the pleasure of seeing the sunset. The road is quiet, the birds are beautiful, and the sun is at the end of the road!
This weekend will be fully dedicated to my blog.

This is about the time again. I really hate it when it comes. My hair is getting too long! I doubt I will try the military style again. It takes too long to grow it back and my sister doesn’t like it much.

Warhammer 40000, Tyranids

Nils’ new hobby! If I understand correctly it is a board game but you paint/make your own units the way you want them to be and when you play, they do possess the weapons/attributes you gave them. The whole set costs more than $200…most of it was a BD present (he turned 19 last Saturday!). I think it is cool! He is doing the hormagaunt!
I am not the only strange person in this apartment! Lots of concentration tonight for Nils on the balcony. I cannot wait to see the whole set painted.

James Blunt’s new album. I like to listen to his songs when I am sad. This new album is not as good as the first one. Same style…I really like the album’s cover, very artistic! I see it everyday at the bus stop.

Poor eyes! First, one hour and half in chlorinated water, then eight hours in front of the computer, then one hour of RoN, there you go… red eyes.
