I replaced the air filters in my Toyota Yaris. My throat is very sensitive to air pollution inside the car, and dirty air filters make me cough. It’s one of those chores you tend to delay until you can no longer afford to put it off.

Three older men, likely around my age, were trying to show off at the gym by doing some heavy lifting. They might end up with serious problems with their joints or muscles. The body (and mind) prefers consistent, long-term, and low-intensity exercises. Like any machine, the body doesn’t respond well to sudden stress.

I have been grading all day long! I have completed 4 huge piles of exams, with 5 more left to go. However, the remaining 5 piles are from my younger students, so they should be easier and faster to grade.

Most people think that the brain needs happiness or change. Mine needs homeostasis, meaning perfect balance. I do not need anything exciting, new, or fake feelings. I just do not want anything disturbing my peace of mind.
The lady at the clothing repair shop asked me what my plans were for New Year’s Eve. I told her, ‘S-L-E-E-P.’ She thought it was sad, but then I seriously told her that I love my beauty sleep and it is the only thing I was looking for.
