This nice song describes very well how I feel now: Fairytale Gone Bad by Sunrise Avenue…I kept on playing it on my winamp. Funny, I went to look for the video on youtube and I discovered the singer’s face for the very first time. I would never picture such a young face based on the strange old voice in the song.

The herpes crisis is finally over, only faded red spots are visible. I am so happy….a real pain in the ass! I managed to cook enough food i think for at last 5 meals, all I have to do is to prepare the salad to go with the meals. I wanted to dedicate more time learning about Softimage. It is very interesting! I am trying to convince myself to attend the hiking event organized by one CS member here in Dublin tomorrow….7-8 hours is a bit too much, besides the weather here is so unpredictable. It could be hell on earth if it rains.
We had a dude who came to check the place and he seemed keen to take over but my flatmate didn’t trust him: potentially dirty and noisy person. He was fat with dirty teeth and a strong smell. Not a very good general impression at first sight, I’d say! I no longer worry about this flatmate hunt. My current flatmates had really bad experiences before, consequently, they are a bit paranoid since. We do not have many replies so far, I doubt they really have the choice. Maybe bad timing due to the summer holidays! Soon it won’t be my business anymore. It is so hard to find a really good person though, in the end, other priorities will force them to accept whether they want/like the person or not.

Zovirax and Viralief!

I bought these two creams to relieve the pain. The blisters are extremely contagious and kept on spreading around. It hurt so much yesterday, it was like if I was literally burned. The worse seems to be over but the healing process is long and painful. I didn’t realize last week it was an herpes outbreak so by scratching the itchy blisters, I helped spreading the fucker around. If I had used the creams right away, it would not have been so bad.
To keep myself busy, I started a 3D modeling project. It is fun. I am using a professional software called Softimage. I thought I would intuitively learn it easily like many things that are computer related. I was wrong and I had to read step by step the tutorials and the books. It is fun. I hope I will have my very first 3D friend soon. It is not easy and it requires lots of imagination, it also combines technical skills and mathematical basics…
Still nobody to take over the room :(. Claire is on vacation for 2 weeks. She went to Spain with her boyfriend. There is only me and Rallez at home. It is nice and quiet.

herpes simplex type 1 virus!

I was curious about these weird red blisters on my neck and in the back of my left ear. I suspected these fever blisters I tend to have periodically on my lips but I never thought they could spread on such a large area of my body (neck, behind the ear, a few on the back of my scalp, and on my chin). It is very unusual to have such a huge amount. Well it is now confirmed, I have herpes outbreaks. It is extremely painful and there is no real treatment against it. I have to wait between 7-10 days for them to go away thanks to my own natural defense *sigh*. I am glad I did not have the type 2 that usually occurs in the genital area because that would cause great PAIN! I had to take a lot of precautions to shave today since a few of these blisters are located on my chin. I cannot wait for them to go away! Stress and lack of sleep last week were the main culprits of the weakening of my defense system allowing the herpes to appear. It is indeed impossible to get rid of it once you have it.
I read carefully about the symptoms and they do confirm that fever can occur. I never had fever when it was weaker but last week, I did have a stronger fever. I thought it was due to the cold. And I also had these enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. I thought I had cancer or something! Sadly for me, I had something more severe, my left brain was sore for two days. It was also a consequence of the herpes outbreaks called encephalitis. Some virus cells invaded the brain tissues. It was minor this time but the pain was very acute!

Strange allergy!

Some weird skin reactions on my neck and several painful spots below the ears. I have no idea what might have caused these. I hope it’s nothing important. We might have found a replacement to take over my room. Let’s see how things go.
My body tends to compensate stress reactions caused by a major event in my life. So I was tired, had strange dreams and obviously I developed some allergy symptoms last week. I just wish all this is over soon.

Good surprise!

I beat the second best amateur swimmer in the pool. I surprised myself doing so. It was a perfect timing… The tech toc is really nice but I cannot seem to swim at this pace without it. It does give me the perfect timing for my arm moves.
I wish time goes a bit faster… It is really boring now!

I have never heard of “discount courier services” until three days ago. Cheap and fast! They will come, pick up my package and deliver all around Europe.
Nowadays, all I have to do to find a movie, a program, or a documentary on internet is to type: name + rapidshare. So easy! There is also a tool that allows me to manage all my downloads with rapidshare as long as I have the full rapidshare links, Cryptload: COPY + PASTE and VOILA!

20 Weeks in Ireland!

In one month, I will move to Manchester. I like Dublin/Ireland but the weather is really bad here. It rains all the time. I will really miss the pool because it is very nice and quiet. I have to move on though.

I’ve had the “chance” to experience a new type of virus I have never heard of before. Since I had time and downloaded illegal stuffs over the internet, I sadly triggered a tricky virus that damaged many of my mp3 files. I thought first there was some sort of conflict between my codecs and winamp or that I deleted inadvertanly some vital dlls. After a clean reinstallation and few tests, I came to realize that many of my old mp3s are no longer readable. I am trying to recover some of my precious old mp3s. Now that they are gone, I miss them!
