I won $29.10 at the Gold Lotto on Saturday. I went to see the movie, “Jumper”, and ate at Indooroopilly on Sunday. The movie was entertaining…It needs more depth but it is fun to watch. I will get my very first job interview in the business world on Wednesday at 5 pm. I smile at this idea… that is right, a postdoc working in the research area like me will get his interview with a business. Maybe that is all I really need…make the move and stop thinking like a scientist! there are many things I can do and apply my knowledge and my skills to. I guess a lot of people are making the same mistake: we all narrow down our path to things we are used to but in reality we can do many things in many different domains. I also booked my ticket to my next destination and I tried to rent a studio.
At the pool, a woman was very impressed with my finis underwater mp3 player and she was so amazed after trying it out. Paul, another good swimmer, tried it out as well. It is fun to make new friends with my fancy toy. Paul told me he will buy it for his Birthday on March 20th. It is quite expensive and I do not know if people would really invest $300 into a toy they do not use as much as I do. To enjoy music like I do, they would need to swim for a while the freestyle. Paul can easily do it though!

My blog has fully migrated!

Everything is working just fine and to the rest of the world nothing has changed much. My blog has moved to a new home :). I am happy it went smoothly. It has a tremendous advantage now. It is fully portable and it is on a Debian system. Much more stable than my Asus laptop.

Moving onto Eno’s box!

For the next few months, I will be in transit without a fixed internet connection. I have asked Eno to store and keep my wordpress blog on his server. That would make my life much easier. I can update things from any internet cafee.

Cool Wednesday!

I slept very well and had a nice swim after the hard recovery on Monday and Tuesday. A cool bloke, Paul, at the pool asked me about my finis underwater mp3 player. I let him try it and he said he might buy one for his Birthday. I knew some people would be interested in this strange device I wear.

Nice trip to SpringBrook!

In the end, we were 11 people at Springbrook at the same location. We lost 3 people at the beginning. They ended doing their own stuffs on the other side of the good location and they did a short tour and a BBQ. We had a lot of fun on our side and everyone enjoyed the trip. It would have been a bit better if all the tracks were accessible… more pictures.
I was almost in tears after returning the nice Toyota Camry. The only bad thing about this nice car is the color…nothing is perfect I guess!

Bad night!

Today no more beers. I tend to drink too much and it disturbed my sleeping patterns…swimming wasn’t fun but hard. I was surprised with the speed though. I must have gotten better at the technique. I had the impression of being slow but my speed forced slow ass people to move away.

a little change!

I kept total control over myself for the very first time in my life. I am happy I have changed a bit. It rained a lot over the weekend. I couldn’t take as many pictures as I wanted to. I had some nice shots though. I really enjoy very much photography. It is a nice challenge and it forces me to go around and to look at things at different angles.
