I can save then between 700 and 800 euros per month. I think I can save more if I control better my food/fun/personnal expenses. My colleagues at work could not save that much. They told me they have maybe at most 200 euros or nothing left at the end of the month.

Belgian Fun!

I was so busy the last 2 weeks with work and WoW that  I didn’t have time to upload these pictures of my trip in Belgium. I also took so many pictures that it is hard to sort them out quickly and share them. Anyways here they are:

It has been 10 years or so that I have eaten such a nice crab soup. My little cousins caught most of them. I did a pretty good job in the end. What I miss really is these old times when we were all together. It was really hard back then financially speaking but it remains old good memories. I know we won’t have every one of us all again in one photo… we all have our life now. So I try hard to take and keep as many pictures of us as possible when we are all together again.

Busy!

I thought summer was quiet and nice but not this year. O well it keeps my days full and busy. I do not see time passed by. Good! Hopefully the change of management will be in my favor. I am entering my 6th month which means I have 6 months of experience! That was my main goal! Yea Yea Yea!

Wedding Extra!

I have taken more than 700 pictures of the wedding and, of course, I haven’t had time to post them all. Now is the right time to dig out all these pictures. Some are very nice and others are just multiple shots of the same scene. I will also give the links to download all of them at once.

Updating Da Blog!

It was about time I update and upgrade my blog.

Sadly my ISP, Free, has not upgraded its PhP version yet so I am compielled to store a lower version on their site and a more advanced version on mine. The code of the site can only be viewed normally using Firefox alike browsers. The latest version of IE will not interpret the code the way it should be.

After 4 years, I am still the proud owner of this blog and no unwanted ads are spamming my personal site.

Pretty pictures of the BBQ at my cousin’s place!

Back to Dutchland Beach! What a day!

I cannot wait to be on vacation. Well deserved holidays!

Plan: visit of our family in Belgium, BBQ and a day at the beach in Holland (Oysters and Mussels)

And of course more pretty pictures to come :).

Euh!

In few words, I really do not know how to choose a very good camera for a given price. Usually, I just picked the most expensive one, the most popular with tons of links and sample of pictures on the web. Usually when ten people write lengthy guides/reviews about a camera, it cannot suck!

I have noticed few characteristics that are important:

1. the effective resolution in pixels: the higher the better (> 10 k = kick ass!)

2. the fps (frame per second): faster is better, it allows you to take pics with fast motions.

3. The ISO: larger is better, broad range is good for any type of light!

4. The sensor: the more options it has the better, meaning you have less work to do (ex: Scene Recognition System, Auto-focus tracking by color, Auto-focus calibration, Multi-CAM3500FX Auto Focus sensor –51-point, 15 cross-type, more vertical coverage, etc…)

My cousin would like to buy a camera and she is asking me questions in this post: link. Cameras and lenses are very expensive. About four years ago, I bought my Nikon D200 and I’ve never regretted it.

If I have to buy a camera today the Nikon D700 would be my choice in a heartbeat. The camera itself costs about 2000 euros. The lens Nikon AF/S DX VR 18-200 is about 400 euros. Total: 2400 Euros. I paid that price 4 years ago for my Nikon D200 that has been replaced since by the Nikon D700.

Nikon D700 vs Canon 5D Mark II

I think the Nikon D300 is a bit cheaper and it is better than the Nikon D200. You can find one at about 600-700 Euros. But you still need the lens. So if you want something really good, you would need at least 1200 Euros (camera + lens) .

Advice: find a good summer job :).

Now the reasons why I have bought the Nikon d200: Gallery1 and Gallery2.

My own unforgettable pics: Artistic and Australia.

My little studio isn’t that bad after all. I would like to emphasize the cleanliness of the place. It took me one week to clean it and I was very angry at the previous dumb ass who left it in such a disgusting state. As usual I need to be surrounded by at least 2 screens (TV + computer). In this case, I have 3 :), lucky me!

The view is nice. Quite romantic I think.
