The gas heater went off again! Geez! I unleashed my anger against the maintenance company.
Then in the evening, I realized I’ve lost my credit card! Dang!

Back To Normal!

I had to complain loudly and make weird threats to the gas company so that they would come back and fix their brand new machine today. The secretary was saying they only come on Wednesday or Friday. I told her that I will do whatever to change the contract if they do not come today to fix it. Somehow, it worked and they came to fix it in the afternoon. Would they come if I hadn’t go that far. Maybe, maybe not but I wasn’t ready suffer another day to figure that out.
It’s warm and comfy and I can use hot water whenever! I need fast internet though to be fully satisfied.

The gas heater had an error message and went to a safety mode and shut itself down! Dang! Back to boiling hot water for the shower and a cold studio again.

The TrAnsition!

Thursday 03: I moved out. I woke up at 6 am in order to be at the place before 8 am. The electricity/gaz technician came at 8:15 to activate both. I also moved most of my stuff from my room to my studio. I came back to take my TV and few stuffs. So first day on the floor without heat and hot water since the gas heater will be activated the day after. I had to make my own hot water to mix with cold ones and use a half plastic bottle to take a shower. Quite unpleasant.
Friday 04: The heater was turned on and I had heat and hot water. I had to sleep on the cold floor but it was a more comfortable with the heat and the hot water.
Saturday 05: I bought a washing machine and a folding bed. I think I bought all the heavy stuffs for now. It will be much better from now on. I wanted to buy everything that I can fit in my car. I do not want to have to order them and wait for the delivery.
The 3G internet is unstable. What a shame. Two weeks to wait for the activation. Hopefully it can be faster! It is already good to have access to the 3G though. It would be very painful without it.

ThE DaTeS!

Wednesday 02: I sign the contract for the place. Normally I should get the keys and I should be able to move some stuffs in.
Thursday 03: Two technicians will come and activate the electricity and the gas between 8-12 pm.
Friday 04: Another technician will come to turn on the gas heater. I might need my personal heater Thursday night!
Monday 21: Another technician will come for the internet. Sadly it cannot be earlier. I will have to use the 3G with SFR or my own iphone with Orange. I will see whatever is fastest and cheapest.

My New Studio!

I finally found a studio I like near my workplace. It is all new with a garden. It is very well located (town center and train station nearby). I will sign the paperwork next Wednesday 02 2013. As planned, I will move out of my parents’ place in January. It was very hard to find something before because my contract was not permanent yet (probation period).
I am trying to get the electricity hooked up as soon as possible then I will leave definitely my parents’ place but at this moment I do not know when that will happen. I called the electricity company as soon as I knew I had the place but everyone is currently on holidays. I do not intend to stay there too long because I want to buy my own place quickly. I just wanted to be sure I like this job. Maybe in 3-6 months.
At least from now on, it will be easier for me to check around and see what is available. I will also have more time because I am currently wasting 3 hours each day to go to work (back and forth). It wouldn’t be that long but the traffic is quite bad, lots of accidents.

I got food poisoning since Tuesday so few very unpleasant days. I am still not recovering yet and I spare you the details. It’s been a while that I have such an acute diarrhea. I am extremely careful about my diet because I have a very moody stomach. When I do not eat my regular meals, my stomach is upset the next day.

Lovely Xmas!

As usual my little cousins were charming. and I had a lovely Xmas. I just brought my sorry self to their place and one Moet-champagne and 2 wannabe champagnes. I really did not have time this year to prepare anything. I finished work late on Friday and I was tired. Anyways, I hope they did not mind. I did not think money or cash contribution was appropriate so I did not make any. My brother tried.
Something seems missing, I cannot pinpoint what. I felt incomplete even though I fulfilled my duty as a guest. I do not know what and it bothered me. I really enjoyed my time with people from my cousin generation. They are fun to be with. The reality of life seems to catch up the younger ones. I have a peculiar tenderness for the youngest of my cousins. But they have grown up and it seems that life has caught up with them. I wish them all the best but I could sense that the grip life is there.

2 WEeKs of VacAtIoN!

Whoa! This is probably the best moment of these vacations…In 2 hours I will have 2 full weeks of vacation.

Yea Yea yea! 2 weeks of vacation starting tomorrow.Finally, it’s getting there! I will leave work tomorrow at 4 pm and I will also check a studio nearby. Hopefully, it will be the right one. Things seem to calm down at home but I do not think any of us want to return back as it was before.
I personal think that we are too much onto each other. What we really need is space, and of course to do so, I need a job and then I should move out. It is just the natural order of things. Of course, financial considerations made it ‘livable’ but we aren’t really made for that. As human beings, we think and do things differently and when we are living under the same roof, it is very hard to repress our natural tendency of spreading our way of life to others.
I also kept on looking for other opportunities. My job is quite easy going and not too stressful. I do want to make more money though.
