I really hate these type of dreams. I usually end up in some kind of a maze and I have to get out. The mind always offers an explanation to get out and I have the impression that it was logical or somehow that I was in control. However, at the end of the road I cannot find my way back somehow I was in the same room. Then I would wake up, being very upset and frustrated.

Good results this week:
1. The stolen bike is back and the Arab couple is happy. The Arab couple lives together but the man and the woman do not have the same name. it is a bit weird since she wears the burqa (not full face hidden, just the hair).
2. The Vietnamese father seems happy, he finally got the heater fixed and he admitted that I was right saying that his apparatus was probably out of order due to inactivity the last 6 months. His internet should work in a week also.
3. Finally, the front door is fixed after 44 days.
I am trying to request a locker for the room reserved for bikes. The descriptions mentioned one and there is a just a hole there at the moment. My chances to get one is tiny but I still asked for it :).
I really do not know why but I do not like the fat kid at all: stupid ugly fat ass that is all that I see in him. I hope that he will stop stealing in the building.

I helped this viet family the other day. The father had enough wits to ask questions and he asked the right person in the building. He called me today to explain all the trouble he had to follow my advices because they are shortcuts to the regular bullshit people get when they try to connect internet to our building.
The father’s name is PHAM Quang-Diep. He is a programmer and he is making good money. I think he is about 45ish years old. I tend to dislike asian people because I know what they have in mind but somehow he seems more french than most viet I know.
I am still very biasied when it comes to judge people but I started to change a bit my vision: some arabs, blacks and viets around here are quite nice. The majority still falls under my biaised vision though. I really cannot help it!

So today the couple whose bike was stolen and the Adams family without the fat boy stopped by. The Adams parents wanted to see the videos with their own eyes.
Saturday it was the fat boy
Tuesday it was the cops
What next?
These webcams are recording days and nights and so many strange things will happen on this boulevard. This town is full of surprises. What worries me is that six people in the building know that I have these videos.

At 22:32, three policemen stopped a car in front of my building and they did a regular routine check, probably to scare the dealer in the car. Something funny happened then. One of them noticed my wall with my 4 big screens. They checked my wall for few sec. Of course, they did not khow that they were recorded by my webcam.

Slowly but surely, I get to know people of good will in my building. Sometimes it is surprising to discover some of them and it is even a bigger surprise to discover that one of them is not.
The “Adams” family is a mixed case scenario. Indeed, a couple living in the building came to ask me for help. Their bike was stolen. The video recording confirmed that on Saturday (11/10/2014) at 11:32 am, the fat boy came in with his bike and at 11:37 am the fat boy left on another bike. They already knew who it was because the fat boy came to ask them several times about that bike and he even made the mistake to throw away the security on the bike and he was caught.
My simple advice to the couple: “The fat boy is only 11 years old, please discuss with his parents”. I do not mind confirming with the videos if required but I asked the couple to take their time to discuss with the parents first.
In the whole story, I discovered their own struggle with the current building and they did not know about my fight. I gave them the link to my blog and asked them to join me. It would make things simpler.

Yesterday, I went to “Paris 13ie”, the chinese quarter of Paris and had lunch at a vietnamese restaurant with my sister and then we bought a nice viet sandwich before returning home. The food was pretty good and it was nice to catch up with sister time to time.
At the train station, a woman asked the person in front of me about “Boulevard Robert Ballanger” and that person did not know, so I told her that it was where I live so she could just follow me. After 3 min, she asked me if I was renting here and if it was expensive. We then started a long conversation about housing and how to invest money in new properties. She had lots of questions and many information that were not correct. She was happy in the end.
I do not have problem talking to people, I just do not want to spend too much time “socializing”. I am more than happy to share my ideas about technical issues and problems.

I’ve been a bit sick for over a week now. It allowed me to skip riding my bike or running. it was recovery and lazy time. Autumn is here with bad weather and rain. I like the change of the seasons and I found it very depressing to have only 2 seasons in Australia.
2 lamps mounted inside the ceiling lost their security rings and were hanging down in a weird way. It took me few days to figure out what was missing and I bought a bunch of these security rings for 3.2 Euros to hold them:

There is no nerd in my building besides me! I tried to help people in my building with some technical explanations to their problems and how they could fix it. At the end of the day, it really did not matter much. In fact, people are not really asking for answers, they just want a quick fix to whatever annoys them that day. The truth is whatever is important to other people is not really important to me and vice-versa.
How many people can understand for example:
1. that 25 fps is nice for WoW and 12 fps is slow.
2. that a download speed of 425 kbs/sec is slow and allows for a single movie of 12 Gb in Bluray format per night.
3. that 4K TV can display images at 4096 x 2160 resolution
4. that OQ is much nicer for raiding in Europe
5. that RL has all movies and games available
6. that Mirc allows you to download everything you want on internet and it is faster than bittorrent?
The only people who can understand all the above are the ones I talk to through my computer screen.
