the BbQ and da NEw HoUse!

We had the traditional BBQ on Sunday after the wedding. I wondered why we had oysters for the BBQ but my best guess was that they were on sale!: Flickr LINK.

The photos are being uploaded to my Flickr account however, since I decided to keep the whole picture size on Flickr, it will take some times to upload 1.3 Gb of 220 photos! I am quite happy I did not miss many photos this time and some were really beautiful.

Da wEddIng and i wiLL be 40!

Anne/Thao’s weeding was special for one personal reason for me: I will be 40 next year! We are getting old and the next generation is already taking over.
Chris’ dad speech resonated in my brain! He apologized 2 or 3 times about the way things were done in his time. At the same time, he admitted that he was happy with how things were now and how his son made the right choices.
The only reason why I hesitated coming to this wedding was that I will be 40 soon and I cannot figure out what the best choice in life is….!

1. I received a little reward for helping the 2 brothers with their laptop: a plate with my name decorated with colored sand.
2. I took out the trash bins yesterday at 23:00, the person in charge must have had a problem and he thanked me this morning. The 4 bins full of trash would stink badly if I had not done it yesterday with the current heat and the extra humidity.
3. I upgraded one of my neighbor iPhone to its latest version and I installed a free GPS app for him.
I will avoid annoying people this week; It takes some extra energy and I just want to enjoy a cool relaxed week.

hOw to makE a BiG cHange!

I can feel that this is the right time to make the leap and change everything in my life. I just do not know how. Things do not change if I try to go back to the “normal” loop: “work, sleep, play games!”
Something is obviously missing and I even got annoyed by “annoying other” people. I do not want to hurt people anymore than required.
Geez… with all this brain activity I still cannot figure it out!

To the cunning reply, I chose to play it cool and I tried to outsmart the person I talked to in a gentle manner:
Me: Dear Mr. XXX, Your reply was one of the most elegant ones I received even though it contained a trace of controlled anger. However, I do insist on having an precise date by Friday (September 4) of the next meeting IN MY PRESENCE.
REPLY: Can I have your phone number?
I think he understood that I would never let it go until I get satisfaction. I wonder what kind of bird name I got from him :).

Since I became the “person” in charge of the building. Companies that work for us and that are under a contract of maintenance with us hate me. They rarely missed an opportunity to tell me their feelings one way or another to my direct reminders (emails). However, I probably received today the most elegant reply and it made me smile. I could feel the anger of the reply but it was contained smartly.
exchange of emails:
Me: Mr. XXX has promised to fix the detector on the 5th floor of our building in September 2015. Could you please call me and make arrangements for an intervention in my presence as soon as possible?
Reply: Dear Mr. YYY, today is the 1st day of September !!! We will get back to you and set up a meeting as soon as possible.
