Here is my nice lamp filled with the light bulbs bought by my cousin, Helène. It looks all pretty at my window. I will use it even after the holidays as a decorative lamp at night. The winter will look much warmer in my studio :). From my desk, I can see the reflection of the light in the window and it creates a nice visual effect.

There comes the “good” times for both of our families. Lots of food and laughs and no big drama.
My sister, Anne, will have her second baby. I knew it already but I had to keep it secret until now. She bought a bigger car for her 2 cats, 1 dog and two babies!
My cousin, the other Anne, bought a nice house and will get married next year. She was happy and relaxed this year. You could feel it at her Birthday party. She checked everything, the bottle of champagne, the cakes and even the places around the table :).
Caroline and her boyfriend, Dung, received their first salaries as doctors. They bought two Iphones 6 for each of them to celebrate the event.
Things are quite nice for us the past few years and hopefully it will be even better in the futur.

Our annual family reunion will be in Belgium like each year. Therefore Christmas’s Eve was quiet and relaxing as well as Christmas itself. I really do not care much about these days that seem to have a special meaning to the rest of the world. I will keep my money for the coming sales after Chirstmas. They are more interesting in terms of long time investment.
I went to the store on the 24 and there was an excess of smoked grilled ham on bones. The dude who was responsible for that stand gave to me 3 bones with lots of meat for almost free: 1 Euros for each. I had plenty of good grilled ham to eat over the holidays :).

I have been playing WoW all days and nights the last 2 weeks. I joined a guild and I had to catch up since I could not connect the first 2 weeks. I am almost at their level now but then I got hooked up into trading in the game. I generated lots of gold doing nothing else than buying and selling in the auction house. It is a very addictive game because it is so easy to make money from other’s work :). All I did was buying card and selling the trinket generated from these cards at a higher price!
In some ways, I helped the game making things cheaper and correcting any excess.

There were two cars parked for ever in front of the building and they blocked all other cars. I tried to remove them so that we recover two nice spots and therefore there will be less cars parked anywhere inside. After a month of hard work (calling the police every week), they were finally removed. Why did I do it? I noticed that chaos will spread if there is nothing done to fix it. It does not matter if it is someone’s chaos, it will eventually be my problem if they keep on parking their cars inside.

I observed a new white couple who joined the building. The couple seems lost in life but they have 3 kids: 2 boys and 1 girl. The man works as a furniture remover. They have an ugly brown dog (another ugly dog in da building). I noticed the woman and her 2 boys quite often at the bus station: Young tall woman but wasted by life.
I asked myself why she had 3 kids when life was already difficult for them.
The first answer was obvious: the french social system helps family with kids so better have 3 than 2!
The second answer is less obvious but it was logical: when you are poor and you have nothing to live for with your partner, kids are THE BOND that holds them together. They would break apart without their kids!

Today was the helpdesk day in my building:
1. A black dude in da building came and asked me about the rejection of his residency request. I read the rejection letter and I told him that there is not much to do besides appeal the decision. I told him that the person who reviewed his case did not believe what he told them. I told him that he should talk to people who are like him (same country and same case). I tried to trigger a serie of questions for him but I am not sure he understood what I said.
2. Malika came with her BBox and asked me if she needed a phone to have internet. I went to her apartment and set up internet for her. She asked me if I like champagne and she would offer me one bottle. Funny little woman! She knows that I can solve any technical issue she might encounter. She does not know anything about internet and all she wanted was internet access through WIFI for her smartphone and tablet. I only did what she asked me to do but I told her that she has the possibility to do more with the BBox.
3. The pretty chick in building B came and asked me if I had a Iphone 5 cable. I do not have one.
Funny day! Not sure that I really helped but I think that they are happy talking to someone.

Following my blood tests, I realized that I lack vitamin D and the doctor prescribed me some. I also told him about my neck aches that would not go away. He simply suggested a lack of magnesium as well. I bought some of these magnesium supplements. The tension in the neck disappeared over 2 days. My diet is not providing me with the normal supply of vitamins and ions I should have daily.
Anyways, I will add these extra vitamins/ions supplements to my diet. The solution was so simple that I cannot believe it but the effect was fast and very effective.
