Today was a strange day. I tried to solve a water leak problem in our building and a technician was assigned by the insurance.
He was young and full of good will. I could sence it at the start. I did not say anything and I just helped… giving my warning at each dangerous steps he might find. Then, the awkward moment came, he entered an apartment to make his measurements and the couple burst out in a fight. I could hear every word and I chose to ignore them.
The technician came out a bit annoyed. I simply said .. “they fought hein?”. He said … “yea, did they know that I would stop by? …They fought each other hard there… They could just have told me to leave, I was trying to help.”
My answer to his feelings was so simple and humaine that I even surprised myself: “Forget it, you were not their target … so why take it personnally?” It was indeed none of our business.
The technician looked at me for 2 seconds and simply said “Ok, let’s move on”

So 2 couples broke up, the most financially vulnerable ones of course. They did not do so silently and the whole building is sharing their everyday fights. The intense heat, the noise… the lack of money! It is a nuclear combination to a sad life.
One couple fought over drug and the other one about a playstation 4!

I hooked my brother’s TV up to my sound system through the digital output (optical) and the sound is crystal clear and beautiful without any background noise. People bought really expensinve Boose all-in-one system but I am pretty sure that my Logitech Z506, 5.1 surround sound system (150 Watts Peak power), is up to the challenge (well, with much more cords). I did not afford a converter digital-analogue with my old TV befor but this time I bought a cheap one for 4.5 Euros and it is does a perfect job!

tHe “nO” wEeK!

It was so hot this week and I was not in a mood to be generous.
- A dude wanted help to back up his data to his new Iphone. He was picky with the RDV, I canceled it.
- A neighbor came and asked for 4 euros for her cigarets. I said NO.
- Same thing with another acquaintance who asked for 20 Euros. I said NO.
- I kicked a company out because it did not show up.
It was not a week to interact with me.
