I am loving my new glasses I just received. I now have 2 corrections: myopia and presbyopia. It was uncomfortable to have to take my glasses off to read small texts.
I thought it would be hard because my dad complained so much. For me, it was instantaneous and I am loving this comfort. These glasses do cost 735 Euros all paid by Fedex private insurance :).

I received a positive answer regarding my red badge (security access to the airport). I sent the letter to HR today and hopefully my contract will resume normally.

My sister and her family went to Italy from Oct 17 Until Oct 23. I went to their house to get away and forget about the weird sistuation with my contract.

I was outraged by the doctors in Paris with their prices and the fact that they only spent 5 minutes with their patients. I surprised myself today while bargaining myself a decent price for my echography.
I explained to the secretary that 161 Euros was 3 times way too much and I could not afford such a price, only people living in Paris could. She called the doctor and explained the situation and he accepted to go down to 90 Euros (not 161 Euros).

Finally, I have time and a private insurance to allow me to do a full heath check-up: a visit to the general doctor to get the prescriptions for blood analysis and an echography of my liver. I also ordered some drugs on prescription. Then I went to the dentist for a clean up and to an ophthalmologist to renew my lenses and my glasses (1000 Euros).
However, doctors in Paris are way too expensive and they do not spend more than 10 minutes with their patients. 5 minutes seem to be their target.
