I was outraged by the doctors in Paris with their prices and the fact that they only spent 5 minutes with their patients. I surprised myself today while bargaining myself a decent price for my echography.
I explained to the secretary that 161 Euros was 3 times way too much and I could not afford such a price, only people living in Paris could. She called the doctor and explained the situation and he accepted to go down to 90 Euros (not 161 Euros).

Finally, I have time and a private insurance to allow me to do a full heath check-up: a visit to the general doctor to get the prescriptions for blood analysis and an echography of my liver. I also ordered some drugs on prescription. Then I went to the dentist for a clean up and to an ophthalmologist to renew my lenses and my glasses (1000 Euros).

However, doctors in Paris are way too expensive and they do not spend more than 10 minutes with their patients. 5 minutes seem to be their target.

I spent all my free time in Paris. I really love Chatêlet-les-Halles, a huge public place and a huge train station at the heart of Paris with easy access to almost everything that Paris has.
I used the app, Doctolib, to find free spots for a doctor and a dentist. I immediatly had an appointment in the next hour with the doctor and the dentist is scheduled for Monday. It has never been easier to find a doctor online. I love technology! My favorite and most usefull apps are:

1. Citymapper for bus/train/itineraries.
2. Westfield app to pee for free inside the mall
3. Google maps of course for anything: restaurant, places!

So I sent all the paperwork to the administration that rejected my red badge (security access). I also sent to 2 other administrations all the document to appeal the procedure in court if necessary.
Wait and see!

So my contract has been suspended while I am trying to appeal the administrative decision regarding my access. A bit of a shock and an unfair feeling. Such is life!
It is not too bad considering the fact that the job was really stressful and that I was alone instead of 3 engineers. Also I have not had any real long vacation the last 5 months.
Maybe it is time to re-evaluate the fact whether I really want to stay longer or not.

I went to the store, scanned all my items and paid for them using only my iPhone. I got out with a barcode o my screen and the cashier was stunned. She could not believe it worked and she had nothing to do herself but watch me go.
