I probably delayed my recovery by overexercising 4–5 hours a day. I just find it incredibly boring to do nothing—I always want to walk around, browse shops, stretch, or hit the gym.

I ended up with a black eye thanks to a stupid run-in with a car door. It faded after about a week, but the first two days were spectacular. It got quite a bit of attention—kids in particular were fascinated.
