Every day, I woke up at 5:30 am and started grading exams until 12 pm; it was my last pile of exams. It felt great. I think I am done with many minor chores as well.

One of my bank accounts has a flaw and is exposed to a second instance of fraud. I had to request a change of the online login and a new card, and I canceled some fraudulent transfers.

My cracked version of Microsoft Office was blocked, which greatly disturbed me. Luckily, I had all my teaching materials ready, and I was able to use them on my school iPad and laptop. I figured out a way to reinstall another cracked version quickly. I do own a proper 2007 license from Microsoft.

I am done with grading the huge pile of exams. My brain is looking for things to do. My dear colleagues are now loaded with work and made long faces when mentioning grading.

The brain is an extraordinary machine that needs a lot of care. Light therapy does wonders for my mood! I was sick and overwhelmed with work, but now I am happy and full of energy.

tIkTok Ban!

I simply shrugged off the potential TikTok ban in the US as a non-event. To be honest, while TikTok had a few good things, it also had plenty of imperfections—nothing that I can’t find elsewhere. The good ideas often came from serious doctors or educated people from Europe.

A new lab technician joined the school. I tried to help her as much as I could. I focused on my teaching and my students. I avoided lab experiments and focused on theory. Meanwhile, those who were unfocused and lazy ultimately got what they deserved: troubles and useless stress. It was indeed much easier to stay away from trouble than to get out of it!

A bowl of steamed vegetables, salmon cooked in the air fryer, a boiled egg—no salt and no sugar and one liter of freshly squeezed orange juice. It is simply delicious and extremely healthy.
