Throughout the night, the mind experiences several REM (Rapid Eye Movement) cycles. Unlike deep sleep, which focuses on physical repair, REM sleep seems to enhance brain functions such as information processing, problem-solving, and memory recall. The more REM sleep I get, the better I function cognitively.
