I am starting to understand better the mechanism of the game, Twilight Imperium 4, and I was able to show the “most advanced player” yesterday that it was not in his interest to attack me for 2 reasons:
1. He had no ways to gain 1 victory point
2. He could only hurt me where it was useless thus leaving his homesystem unprotected and his strongest fleets (all of them) far away.
He was angry and still attacked my remote planet. He was removed from the game 2 rounds later by his neighbors and I finished 3rd with 6 points.
