I called this banking counselor, George, 2 years ago for my own mortgage and called him again yesterday for my brother’s mortgage. George sounds like a good father giving kids some wise advices over the phone. At the end of the call, I told him that he must be enjoying life now since I remember him telling me two years ago that he just finished his mortgage.
George told me that he got divorced and they sold the house and split the money. At 55 years old, he is back to where he was, trying to buy a new home but this time alone. I did not ask if they had kids.
Two years between 2 phone calls and someone’s life has dramatically changed. I wish I did not remember all these stories but I have a good memory. Sad sad!
